Re: Paducah Man Jailed on Cocaine Trafficking

On 06/25/2009 at approximately 6:30 pm the McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division arrested a Paducah Man on two counts of trafficking in cocaine. The arrest was the result of a one week investigation conducted by the McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division.
On 06-18-2009 detectives with the drug division conducted an undercover operation that led to a confidential source purchasing a quantity of cocaine from Herman E. Reese in Paducah. On 06-25-2009 at approximately 6:29 pm detectives conducted another undercover operation that led to a confidential source making another cocaine purchase from Reese near the intersection of Adams and South 20th Streets in Paducah. Reese was arrested at that location. The investigation revealed that Sarah A. Nunnally 31, of Ike Avenue had driven Reese to a near by location and dropped him off in Reese's 2001 Dodge pickup truck. Nunnally was stopped and subsequently arrested after deputies learned that her drivers license were suspended.
A search warrant was later executed at Reese's apartment located at 2201 Broadway Apartment #301 in Paducah on that same date by Sheriff's Detectives. During a search of the apartment Deputy Steve Croft and K-9 Derec were called to assist in the search for illegal narcotics. K-9 Derec located four individually packaged baggies containing crack cocaine that were concealed in a towel inside a closet in the apartment and one plastic baggy of marijuana. A search of the apartment also revealed numerous plastic baggies with the corners removed that had been used package illegal narcotics and an undisclosed amount of US currency. The investigation is continuing and other charges are likely.
Herman E. Reese has a prior conviction for complicity to trafficking in a 1st degree controlled substance- cocaine out of McCracken County Ky in 2002 enhancing his charges making them 2nd offenses.
Arrested: Herman E. Reese 58, of Broadway Paducah, Ky
Charges: Two Counts of Trafficking in 1st degree Controlled Substance-Cocaine second offense (A class "B" felony punishable by 10-20 years in prison)
Arrested: Sarah A. Nunnally 31, of Ike Avenue Paducah, Ky
Charges: Operating a suspended license
Detectives also seized a 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup truck that belonged to Reese. Reese is alleged to have drove this vehicle during one of these transactions to deliver cocaine
