SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION ON WATSON ROAD LEAVES PADUCAH MAN IN SERIOUS CONDITION
At approximately 00:48 hours the McCracken County Sheriff's Dept. responded to the area of 305 Watson Road of reports of a single vehicle that was overturned and the occupant was ejected. On scene it was determined that 22 year old Richard Franklin was south on Watson Road, when his 1999 Pontiac Grand AM, left the roadway striking an earth embankment. After striking the embankment the vehicle flipped several times before coming to rest on the roof of the car. Mr. Franklin was found lying in a ditch near the roadway and was unresponsive. Mercy Regional Ambulance and Reidland Farley Fire Dept. worked diligently to treat Franklin and rush him to Lourdes E.R. due to the seriousness of his injuries. From the investigation, it appears that speed and alcohol was a determining factor in the collision. The collision was investigated by Deputy Cory Golightly
