Deputies locate and pursue domestic violence suspect.
On 07-18-09 at approximately 0300 hrs I observed a vehicle run over the curb at the intersection of HC Mathis and Cairo Road. I stopped this vehicle on Potter Ln.
Mr. McGregory was a passenger of this vehicle. At the same time of this traffic stop, the Paducah Police Dept. was conducting an assault investigation for a domestic assault which had just occurred at
the Brickhouse. While I was attempting to obtain a description and/or suspect name involved in the assault from the PPD officers by radio, Mr. McGregory exited from the vehicle and fled on foot. I
pursued Mr. McGregory across a field through a small wooded area, climbed a fence into a yard. Additional Deputies and Officers from the Paducah Police department assisted in detaining and arresting
in the front yard of a residence on Cairo Road approx 1000 feet from where it began.
Mr. McGregory was charged with Domestic Assault 4th Degree by PPD Officer Michael Redmond for the assault which involved using a stun gun type device on the victim.
I charged Mr. McGregory with Fleeing or Evading 1st degree (felony) and he was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
Arrested: Jason McGregory of Paducah, 26 Y.O.A.
Thanks.
