Accident slows I-24 Bridge down to one lane.

A tractor trailer driven by Michael Kaylor of Brookport struck a car driven by 18 year old Rachel Bowman also of Brookport as they were crossing the east bound I-24 bridge into Kentucky. Kaylor stated that he was passing other vehicles when he came upon Bowman who had blown a tire on the bridge. Bowman was traveling at a slow pace trying to get off the bridge when she was struck in the rear. Bowman was transported to Western Baptist Hospital for minor injuries. The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was assisted by Illinois State Police, Metropolis Police Dept., Concord Fire Dept., and Mercy Regional Ambulance Service.

The accident is still under investigation by the Sheriff's Dept.
