Single vehicle Collision on Oaks Road injures two area women.

Driver Charged with Operating on Suspended OL, DUI 1st (Aggravated), Failure to Produce Insurance Card.

On 08-04-09 at approx. 9:50 pm, Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on Oaks Road Between Bagget Lane and Hunters Lane.

Holly Travelstead, 22 Y.O.A., of Smithland Ky, was traveling North on Oaks Road driving a Green 2000 Mazda 626, when she lost control of the vehicle. Ms. Travelstead failed to negotiate a curve and lost control on the wet roadway. The vehicle ran off the road, hit a ditch, and then hit a tree. Both Ms. Travelstead and a passenger, 29 Y.O.A., Jessica Etheridge, of Paducah Ky, were injured. Both were treated by Reidland Farley FD and Mercy Regional Ambulance transported them to Baptist ER.

Ms. Travelstead was cited and released due to injuries for:
