At approx 0145 hrs deputies were dispatched to the 8100 block of Old Mayfield Road for a vehicle accident. Deputy C. Golightly arrived on scene and discovered an unoccupied, Black, 2004 Ford, F150, Pickup in the ditch. It was apparent the truck had recently ran off the roadway at high speed and struck several trees along this ditch. The operator of the vehicle was later determined as Andrew Morgan, 20 Y.O.A. of Paducah. After initially attempting to report the vehicle as stolen Mr. Morgan admitted to operating the vehicle and fleeing the scene. Mr. Morgan was cited for leaving the scene of an accident. Additional charges may follow pending further investigation.
