Collision injures two,
At 12:50 PM. Deputies responded to a two vehicle collision on US 68 at the intersection with the I-24 west bound off ramp. Upon our arrival we learned that a 2003 Ford Escape driven by 73 year old Curtis W Campbell from Excelsior Springs, MO had turned left into the oncoming lane from the west bound off ramp into the path of a 1986 Chevy Blazer driven by 52 year old Gorden C. Bradley. As soon as Campbell realized he had turned into the oncoming lane he started to make a left hand U turn. Bradley was unable to avoid colliding with Campbell's vehicle and struck it in the passenger side. This caused injuries to his passenger, 72 year old Patricia V. Campbell, also of Excelsor Springs, MO. Both Curtis and Patricia Campbell were transported by Mercy Regional ambulance service to Lourdes hospital for treatment of their injuries. Assistance was also provided by the Reidland Farley Fire Dept.
Thanks,
Deputy Dwayne Pickett
