Two vehicle accident on Benton Road results in minor injuries from air bags.

On 09-05-09 at approximately 11:30 a 1996 Olds Achieva driven by Billie J. Martin of Calvert City struck the rear of a 2005 Chevy pickup driven by William P. Hennenfent of Paducah. Hennenfent was stopped in traffic waiting for another vehicle to make a left turn onto Fisher Blvd. According to a witness when the vehicle made the left turn onto Fisher Blvd. Martin accelerated striking the rear of Hennenfent pickup that caused both air bags to deploy. Martin was complaining of pain to both forearms which may have been injured when the air bags deployed. Martin was taken to the hospital by family members for possible injuries.
