Vehicle collision with injuries:

At approximately 2025 hours this date an mini van driven by 39 year old Sheri Babbs of Paducah, Kentucky was East bound on Husbands Road near 1515 Husbands Road, when she was struck in the rear by an SUV. The SUV was driven by 16 year old Stacey Lambert of Paducah, Kentucky. Both drivers said 20 year old Michael Frost of Paducah, Kentucky was walking in their lane of traffic. Additionally, a white passenger car driven by 24 year old Amber Hunt and passenger 22 year old Daniel Hunt was stopped with the doors open facing West on Husbands Road. The white passenger car's doors were partial blocking the East bound lane of traffic. Mr. Frost stated he had just been in a verbal dispute with his mother, Patricia Adams and that is why he was walking down the middle of the dark roadway. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt said they were attempting to get Mr. Frost into their car for his safety when the collision occurred. Both Mrs. Babbs and Ms. Lambert said they thought the white car was driving towards them and by the time they saw the car was stopped with the doors open they had to brake rapidly to avoid running over Michael and striking the white car's doors. Mrs. Babbs was able to stop, but Ms. Lambert could not stop and struck Mrs. Babbs mini van in the rear. Mrs. Babbs was pregnant and was transported by Mercy EMS to Lourdes Hospital where she was checked for possible injuries to her unborn child. Members of the Reidland Farley Fire Department also assisted at the scene. The major contributing factor in this collision was Michael Frost walking in the middle of the dark roadway and Mr. and Mrs. Hunt stopped blocking the roadway with their vehicle.
