SHOTS FIRED AT GLENN STREET APARTMENTS IN LONE OAK

At 2200 hours the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, responded to the Glenn Street Apartments for a shots fired call in the area. Arriving on scene, numerous witness' stated that they heard 6 to 10 shots coming from the area of 217 Glenn Street. Deputies were unable to locate any suspects that matched the description of the white male subject in a white tank top and blue jeans, that was seen in the area after the shots were heard.

At 0000 hours on 9/21/2009 a second call of shots fired in the area of Glenn Street came in through 911 dispatch to McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies and witness' saw again a white male with a white tank top and blue jeans in the area. When deputies arrived on scene they had located the male subject that was described by witness'. He was detained pending the Sheriff's Dept. investigation. The male subject was Identified as David L. Dahms 25 (yoa) from Gilbertsville, Kentucky. Dahms was arrested for Alcohol Intoxication when deputies could smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. There was no handgun located on Dahms person at the time of his arrest.

If you live in the area of Glenn Street and Lakeview Drive, it is believed that the handgun was dropped and was still unable to be located after a two hour search of the area. If you live in the area we ask if you can search your back yards so this gun can be taken off the streets. If you come into contact with a firearm, DO NOT TOUCH IT, and contact the McCracken County Sheriff's Department as soon as possible. We need to locate this gun before it reach's the hands of small children in the neighborhoods
