Lone Oak Women Arrested On Prescription Forgery Charges

 

The McCracken County Sheriff Department Drug Division was contacted on September 29, 2009 from a local doctors office. The doctors office reported that they suspected prescriptions were being forged for Hydrocodone 7.5 mg.

 

Detectives determined that the suspect was Rachelle Bagwell of Lone Oak. Bagwell was located and interviewed by detectives. During the interview Bagwell admitted that she had called in multiple prescriptions in other individuals names without their knowledge. Bagwell would then subsequently pick the prescriptions up from various pharmacies in the Paducah area. The investigation revealed that this activity had been taken place over the past approximate six (6) months.

 

Bagwell was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail without incident.

CHARGES: Twelve (12) Counts of Obtaining A Controlled Substance By Fraud Or Deceit

 

Obtaining A Controlled Substance By Fraud Or Deceit is a Class D Felony and is punishable up to 5 years in prison.
