SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION ON CLINTON ROAD SENDS CUNNINGHAM, KY MAN TO HOSPITAL

At 22:18 hours, the McCracken County Sheriff's Dept responded to a single vehicle collision, with injuries, at 7315 Clinton Road. Arriving on scene deputies located a 2003 GMC Van owned by Triangle Enterprises Heating and Air that was involved in the collision. The operator 33 year old Toby Reed of Cunningham, KY was traveling South on Clinton Road when he stated his front driver's side tire blew out and caused him to run off the roadway. The vehicle traveled 213 feet down the left shoulder of the roadway before coming to rest in the ditch. Reed was trapped inside the vehicle until he was aware the windows would still roll down. When Reed exited the vehicle, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was coming from his person. Reed was transported by Mercy Regional Ambulance to Lourdes ER for his apparent minor injuries. Reed was charged at the hospital for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 3rd Offense and Failure to Produce an Insurance Card. The investigation showed that alcohol, speed, and wet road surfaces are all contributing factors in this case. Assisting on scene was the Lone Oak Fire Dept. and Meadows Towing Service.
