On November 7th at approximately 2:41 PM, McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded to a single ATV accident in the 1600 Block of Bryant Ford Road. On arrival Deputies observed a red 2007 Artic Cat ATV had left the roadway, through fencing made up of roping stretched between metal steaks, into a tree. The ATV was driven by 12 year old Ciara Greenwell of Paducah, KY. Ms. Greenwell had been riding ATV's with friends and family and left the two others she was riding with. Witnesses stated when they came around the curve the discovered Ms. Greenwell laying in a field off the roadway. Witnesses stated Ms. Greenwell attempted to make the curve and went through the roping, through thick brush and left the ATV before it collided with a small tree. Witnesses stated Ms. Greenwell was wearing a full-face helmet. Ms. Greenwell was transported to Western Baptist Hospital for treatment of her injuries by Mercy Regional Ambulance. Reidland-Farley Fire Department assisted at the scene.
