Local man arrested for DUI 3rd.

On November 23rd at approximately 9:08 PM, Deputies were dispatched to a reckless/drunk driver in the area of John Puryear.  Deputies were then notified that the driver had pulled into Exxon Gas Station and ran over a parking barrier.  On arrival Deputies located the vehicle but no driver.  Deputies spoke with the witness and he stated he observed the driver running from his vehicle to semi-truck parking area.  Deputies searched the area until the witness stated he observed the driver running across John Puryear towards Husband Road.  Deputies searched the area and located Jayson R. Perez, 23, of Paducah in the 1900 block of Husband Road on foot.  Mr. Perez was intoxicated and wet and muddy from running through a field from Deputies before returning to the roadway.  Mr. Perez was arrested and charged with DUI 3rd Offense, Driving on DUI Suspended, Leaving the scene of an accident and Open alcohol containers in a motor vehicle.  Exxon Gas Station had Mr. Perez's vehicle towed by Vanzant Towing Services.
