Mother And Son Arrested On Marijuana Offenses

On November 28, 2009 McCracken County Sheriff's Detectives arrested Jayson D. Grace 31, of Symsonia and his mother Susan M. Grace 53, of Coleman Cut Road charging both with marijuana trafficking offenses.  
 
The investigation began after Sheriff's Detectives received information that Jayson Grace was trafficking in Marijuana. On 11-28-2009 a McCracken County Sheriff's Detective, acting in the undercover capacity made contact with Grace via cell phone after learning that he was wanting to purchase a quantity of Marijuana. The detective confirmed that Grace wanted a half pound of marijuana. The detective agreed to meet Grace in the 100 block of Lebanon Church Road and sell him a half pound of Marijuana. At approximately 11:04 am detectives arrested Grace after he purchased a half pound of Marijuana for $525. While attempting to  to place Grace under arrest, he resisted pulling away and struggling with Sheriff Deputies. Grace was subdued quickly and transported to the McCracken County Jail.
 
 Detectives learned through their investigation that Grace had obtained $700 in US currency the day prior from his Mother Susan Grace to purchase the marijuana. Grace had told his mother the cost of the Marijuana would be $700 and had intended on taking the Marijuana to his mother and keeping the money left over for himself.
 
Detectives located Susan Grace at her home on Coleman Cut Road in McCracken County at 1:43 pm. Detectives conducted a search of her home and seized a small amount of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia from inside. Susan Grace was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Jail.

Charges: One count of Trafficking in Marijuana eight ounces to five pounds (A class "D" felony punishable by 1-5 years in prison) and resisting arrest 
 
Arrested: Susan M. Grace 56, of Coleman Cut Road Paducah, Ky
 
Charges: One count of Complicity to Trafficking in Marijuana eight ounces to five pounds (A class "D" felony punishable by 1-5 years in prison), possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
