Paducah Couple Arrested Again On Marijuana Trafficking Charges

On December 3, 2009 McCracken County Sheriff's Detectives arrested Fabian C. Thomas and Courtney M. Evans both of Harper Road charging them with multiple counts of marijuana trafficking.  
 
McCracken County Sheriff's Detectives with the Drug Division conducted a two week investigation that involved a confidential source making marijuana purchases from both Thomas and Evans at their residence on Harper Road. On 12-03-2009 at approximately 6:52 am McCracken County Sheriff's Detectives executed a search warrant at the Harper Road residence in McCracken County. Detectives located both Thomas and Evans inside the residence. Detectives conducted a search of the residence and seized several plastic bags of marijuana packaged for sale, digital scales, a 1997 Dodge passenger car that was driven by the couple to sell marijuana and an undisclosed amount of US currency believed to be proceeds of Marijuana sales.
 
Deputy Steve Croft and his K-9 Pepo assisted in the search for narcotics at the residence and located a small baggy of marijuana concealed underneath a dryer.
 
Detectives determined through their investigation that Evans and Thomas were both unemployed and living off the proceeds of their illegal drug sales. 
 
Both Thomas and Evans were just released from jail in December of 2008 for Marijuana Trafficking offenses.
 
Fabian Thomas has prior convictions for Trafficking in Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia possession and Trafficking in controlled substance within 1000 yards of school
 
Courtney Evans has prior convictions for Trafficking in Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia possession, cocaine possession and tampering with physical evidence and was just release off of probation in October of 2009
 
Both Thomas and Evans were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Jail where they are currently lodged.

Charges: Two Counts of Trafficking in Marijuana under eight ounces 2nd offense (both class "D" felonies punishable by up to 1-5 years in prison each)
 
Arrested: Courtney M. Evans 26, of Harper Road
 
Charges: Two Counts of Complicity to Trafficking in Marijuana under eight ounces 2nd offense (both class "D" felonies punishable by up to 1-5 years in prison each)
