Accident sends one to hospital and one to jail for DUI

Officers responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of John L Puryear and Hovekamp today at 3:26 PM. Upon arrival investigation showed that Jerry Price, 50 of Hardin KY, was driving a 1985 Chevrolet pickup going south bound on John L Puryear. He attempted to turn left from Puryear onto Hovekamp. Upon doing so he turned in front of Boyce Ross 75 of Paducah and his wife Joann Ross, 75 of Paducah, passenger in vehicle as they were traveling north bound on John L Puryear in a 2009 Toyota Camry. Mrs.. Ross was transported to Lourdes Hospital for back injuries sustained in accident. Mr.. Ross was not injured. Mr.. Price was determined to be driving under the influence and was arrested and transported to McCracken County Regional Jail he was not injured.

 

Jerry Price was charged as follows

DUI 1st

Wanton Endangerment 1st degree 2 counts

Criminal Mischief 1st degree
