Single Vehicle Accident causes power outage on Oaks Road in Farley.

On 12-12-09 at approx. 0330 hrs, McCracken  County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle collision involving a utility pole. Reidland Farley FD and Mercy Regional ambulance were also initially dispatched and responded until it was determined the operator of the vehicle was not injured.

21 year old, Ricky Scott, of Paducah, was driving a Silver 1997 Dodge Caravan South on Oaks Rd. He ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole in the area of 1050 Oaks Road while attempting to avoid deer.

Mr. Scott was not injured but the collision did cause a power outage to a large residential section of the Farley area. Paducah Power Crews had to replace a damaged pole and a transformer to restore service which was still out at the time this press release was sent out at approx 0600 hrs.
