Man arrested outside local bar for assaulting another patron and drug possession.

McCracken County Deputies were called to The Pickle on Bridge Street for a disturbance. While there Deputy Tim Reed observed 24 year old Joshua Roper of Paducah assault 41  year old Monte Gourley of Cunningham  by punching him in the head. After Deputy Jared Rivera put handcuffs on Mr. Roper Deputy Reed searched the suspect. A small plastic bag containing about .01 grams of mariuana was found in his jacket pocket.  Mr. Roper also had two outstanding bench warrants. Mr Roper was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
