Head on collision sends three to area hospitals.

On 01-24-10 at approximately 10:00 am a white 1999 Mercury 4-door driven by Debra G. Knight 57 of Gilbertsville was north bound on Benton Road.  Knights vehicle ran off the right shoulder of the roadway on a curve and over corrected causing the vehicle to cross the center line and  into the path of a south bound 1986 Chevy pickup head on.  The pickup was driven by Judy B. Peck 61 of Paducah and her husband a passenger in the truck Rickey D. Peck 57. No one in the Peck vehicle was wearing their seat belts prior to the accident.  Both drivers and passenger had to be extricated from their vehicle by the Reidland Farley Fire Department.  Mercy Regional Ambulance transported  Debra Knight and Rickey Peck  to Western Baptist Hospital for treatment and Judy Peck  to Lourdes Hospital for treatment. All three were treated for multiple injuries sustained in the collision.  A section of Benton Road was closed for approximately one hours to clear up the accident scene.
