Multiple Paducah Residents Face Methamphetamine
Manufacturing Charges
On January 28, 2010 at approximately 18:18 p.m. the McCracken County Sheriff Department responded to investigate individuals purchasing Meth related ingredients at a local retail store. The suspects left the store in a 1999 Chrysler Sebring Gold in color. A short time later Deputy Tom Crabtree discovered the vehicle driven by Christopher R. Miller (street name "KFC") and occupied by Joshua D. Paschal. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and further investigation revealed that the individuals had just left another retail store and had attempted to purchase Pseudoephedrine. Deputies observed numerous items used to manufacture methamphetamine in plain view inside the vehicle. The items included liquid fire, rubber tubing, Ammonium Nitrate, Xylene, Coleman fuel, lithium batteries, and pseudoephedrine.
Deputies obtained video footage of both individuals purchasing the items from area stores. Admissions were obtained that the items recovered from the vehicle were purchased for the purpose of making meth.
Both individuals were charges with unlawful possession of meth precursor and manufacturing methamphetamine 1st. Both were lodged in the McCracken County regional jail.
A separate investigation that had been ongoing for the last several months ended on January 29, 2010 at 2:01 a.m. when detectives executed a search warrant on the residence of 1725 Lambert Drive. Detectives investigation had revealed that Theodore J. Coreau (AKA "Ted") and his wife Melinda K. Coreau lived at this residence. The investigation had begun several months ago after allegations that Methamphetamine was being sold and manufacturing at the residence.
Detectives learned that Ted had been arrested on an outstanding bench warrant after he was involved in a minor traffic collision on January 28, 2010 at 20:27 on the Beltline overpass.
Upon executing the search warrant at the Coreau's residence detectives found the residence to be occupied by Melinda K. Coreau. A search of the residence revealed several grams of Methamphetamine, digital scales, Us currency, Marijuana, and evidence of where Methamphetamine had been manufactured on the property. Mrs. Coreau attempted and admitted to hiding evidence (Marijuana and Methamphetamine) while officers were entering the residence.
Ted Coreau was interviewed by detectives and he admitted that he had been manufacturing and selling Methamphetamine for the past approximate year in efforts to make extra money.
Melinda Coreau admitted that she had been purchasing some of the Pseudoephedrine pills from local pharmacies on behalf of her husband. Information based on the investigation revealed other individuals that have also been providing pills for the Meth cooks. Charges are expected to be taken out on those individual/s in the up coming days.
All four individuals were transported and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
