Two vehicle collision sends 2 to the hospital

  At approximately 1230 PM deputies responded to a report of a injury accident at the intersection of North Friendship road and Lakeview drive in Lone Oak. 

  Upon our arrival the investigation revealed that 32 year old Nevelyn Neuner of Paducah had stopped in the south bound lane of North Friendship road in her 1994 Ford Escort, to allow the oncoming traffic to pass before she turned left onto Lakeview drive.

  20 year old Whitney Adams of Paducah was traveling South on North Friendship in her 1999 Toyota Camry. As she approached the intersection she attempted to stop. As she applied her brakes her car skid on the wet pavement. When she realized she could not stop she attempted to drive into the ditch. However the front left of her car still struck the right rear of Neuner's vehicle spinning Nuener's vehicle around. This happened as Neuner had started making her left hand turn onto Lakeview drive.

  The Sheriffs Department was assisted by the Lone Oak Fire Dept. and Mercy Regional ambulance service.

Both parties were transported to Lourdes E.R. for possible injury sustained in the collision.
