2 Injury Accidents on Clarks River Road

   At approximately 12:35 PM the Sheriff's Department responded to an injury accident in the 4500 block of Clarks River Road.  The investigation revealed that a westbound 2007 Toyota Tundra driven by 35 year old Dawnita Conger, of Marion, KY had stopped for traffic that was turning in front of her and was struck in the rear by a westbound Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by 45 year old Adeline Evans of Ledbetter.  The drivers of both vehicles involved were taken to area hospitals for apparent minor injuries.  The passenger of the pickup truck, 4 year old Carolyn Conger was no injured. 

    A second and unrelated accident in the 4400 block of Clarks River Road was reported at 1:35 PM and blocked one lane of traffic in both the eastbound and westbound lanes.  According to witnesses and the parties involved, a US Foods tractor-trailer pulled from the parking lot of Harned's BBQ.  The truck was struck by a passenger car as it crossed the eastbound lanes of Clarks River Road and was making a turn through the median in preparation to travel west on Clarks River Road.  The driver of a Chevrolet Prizm, 57 year old Donna Walker of Ledbetter was taken to the hospital for apparent minor injuries.  The driver of the semi truck, 43 year old Norman Becker, of Mayfield was not injured as a result of the accident.
