March 04, 2010

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Tennessee Couple charging them with numerous drug offenses.

Over the past several days the McCracken County Sheriff's Department received information alleging Hunn Hadley and Candy Albea of Tennessee to be have been involved in trafficking in narcotics in Western Kentucky. On March 04, 2010 McCracken County Sheriff's Detectives contacted the couple via cell phone. During the course of several conversations the couple agreed to bring Methamphetamine, Tramadol and Xanax in return for money and a quantity of marijuana.

Detectives arranged to meet the couple on the parking lot of a Paducah business to conduct the transaction. On March 04, 2010 at approximately 10:25 pm detectives observed the couple arrive at 2730 John Puryear Drive in McCracken County in a 1999 Gold Cadillac driven by Albea. Detectives confronted the couple as they pulled along side of vehicle that belonged to one of the undercover detectives participating in the investigation. Detectives were speaking to Hadley when they observed a plastic baggy containing a white substance later determined to be methamphetamine in Hadley's mouth. Hadley struggled with detectives and bit one detective as he attempted to retrieve the methamphetamine from Hadley's mouth. Hadley and Albea were arrested. Detectives located numerous doses of Xanax in a plastic baggy in Hadley's pocket. A search of vehicle driven by the two revealed approximately 100 doses of Tramadol along with US currency.

Both individuals were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Jail.

Through the course of their investigation, detectives learned that Hadley had purchased items earlier in the day in Tennessee and manufactured the methamphetamine himself at a Benton County residence in Tennessee that he was found to be possession of. The Tramadol that Hadley had intended to sell were prescribed to Albea.

Detectives seized the Cadillac that was driven by the couple to sell the controlled substances.

Hadley is currently on parole out of the state of Tennessee for the sale of Cocaine.
