Arrest Made in Local Theft Case

 The McCracken County Sheriff's Department would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in the location and apprehension of Charles Newell.  Mr. Newell had been wanted for several weeks for the severe beating and unlawful imprisonment of a relative.  Newell was also wanted for charges of intimidating a witness.  Mr. Newell was located and apprehended on 03-07-2010 by the St. Louis, MO Police Department.  Mr. Newell was arrested without incident and is awaiting extradition to Kentucky to face these charges.
