TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT  SENDS FIVE TO THE HOSPITAL

     Officers responded to a accident with injuries at the intersection of Blandville Rd and North Gum Springs at 2:50pm. Upon arrival investigation showed Leeanne Smotherman 54 of Paducah and her passenger Nancy Nichols 77 of Paducah. Were making a left turn from Blandville Rd onto North Gum Springs in a 2000 Ford Explorer. When the were hit in the rear by a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville being driven by Nancy Brown 51 of Bardwell. And her passengers Maria Lynn 72 of Bardwell and Kennedy Brown 4 of Bardwell. All subjects were transported to local hospitals for what appeared to be non life threatening injuries. Road was closed for about one hour for accident.
