At 10:40 AM deputies where dispatched to a single vehicle injury accident at 4101 Old Mayfield road.

Upon our arrival we found the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 45 year old Charlan Beth Ripley had been north bound on Old Mayfield road when a unknown south bound vehicle entered her lane.

Ripley states she swerved right to avoid the vehicle. As she tried to get the vehicle back on the highway it sideswiped a utility pole.

She then crossed the highway and struck a concrete block wall at the entrance to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

First aid was administered by the Hendron Lone Oak fire department. Ripley was transported to Lourdes E.R. By Mercy Regional ambulance for treatment of her injuries.
