Deputy Derick Pugh, Deputy Chad Shaw and Deputy Pat Ward responded to an injury accident in the 2100 block of Dixie Avenue just before Vassuer Avenue. Investigation showed that Sherri Haney of Paducah, 47, lost control of her vehicle and ended upside down. Mrs. Haney was traveling out bound on Dixie when her 1995 Chevy Blazer (black) dropped off the roadway. Investigation showed that the front passenger tire dropped off and pulled the driver side off as well. Mrs. Haney then struck a large tree sending her vehicle airborne. At that time her passenger rear wheel struck the pavement causing it to dislodge from the vehicle. Mrs. Haney's vehicle than flipped onto the driver side coming to a rest. Deputies had the roadway shut down for approximately 1 hour while the scene was cleared. Mrs. Haney had to be extricated from her vehicle by mechanical means by Reidland Farley Fire Department. Mrs. Haney was transported by Mercy Regional Ambulance to Western Baptist treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Mrs. Haney was wearing her seatbelt which kept her from leaving the vehicle during the accident. Speedy's Towing service assisted in clean up and towing of the vehicle. |
