McCracken
County Sheriff's Detectives have a charged a McCracken County Inmate
and arrested his girlfriend on Marijuana offenses after a
joint investigation conducted by the McCracken County Sheriff's
Department and the McCracken County Jail on 05-12-2010.
On
05-12-2010 detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department
Drug Division received information from an employee of the
McCracken County Road Department that an individual had dropped off
a package containing marijuana that they believed was intended
for a class D inmate (Robert C. Roebuck) who was working
on the property. Detectives and McCracken County Jail supervisors
responded the McCracken County Road Department located at 3700
Coleman Road and conducted an investigation.
Detectives
learned through there investigation that Jaime L. Harper 22, of
Cairo had arrived at the Road Department at approximately 11:58 am
in a 2003 Chevy Impala and dropped off a package containing
marijuana. Roebuck had intended on retrieving the marijuana and
smoking it, however it was located by a Road Department employee.
Arrests
warrants were obtained for Harper and Roebuck. Harper was arrested
at a Paducah business at 4:10 pm this afternoon. The arrest
warrant for Roebuck was served on him at the McCracken County Jail.
Roebuck
was serving time at the McCracken County Jail for convictions for DUI
and Driving on Suspended License . As part of a work release
program, he was working during the day at the county road
department.
Both
individuals were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.

Conspiracy to possess marijuana
Arrested:
Jamie L. Harper 22, of Cairo Road
Charges:
Attempting to traffic in marijuana less than eight ounces
