McCracken
County Deputies Colleen Pennebaker and Derick Pugh were dispatched to
Bradford Road/Bradford Lane intersection in West Paducah in regards to
a school bus, carrying 20 children, having dropped its right
front tire off into a ditch, and was stuck in ditch at
intersection. The operator, substitute bus driver Jessica Louise
Bishop (38) of Kevil KY, states that while executing a right
turn from Bradford Road onto Bradford Lane, she misjudged clearance.
Her right front tire then slid off of the roadway into a ditch,
causing the right front of the bus to be laying at an angle on the
asphalt, tilting the bus, and immobilizing the front doors. The
children exited from the bus's rear emergency exit. There
were no injuries reported. Deputies were assisted at scene
by Emergency Management, West McCracken Fire Department, and
Hippies towing. |
