Motorcycle vs Truck injury collision on Lovelaceville Florence Station Road East.

Date:

    At 12:30 hours the McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded to the 1100 block of Lov. Flo. Sta. Road East to a motorcycle vs a truck. Arriving on scene deputies determined that the 2009 Harley Davidson operated by Danny Capps 47 of Paducah was West on Lov. Flo. Sta. Road East when a pick up swerved into his lane. The 1995 Ford F-250 operated by Arthur A. Ralston 50 of South Fulton TN was headed East when he was trying to operate his phone and swerved across the center line into the on coming lane. Ralston's vehcile clipped the motorcycle and both vehicles ran of in to a ditch and striking earth embankments. Both Capps and Ralston were transported by Mercy Regional Ambulance Service to area hospital's where they were treated for their severe injuries. The Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by Hendron Fire Dept. and Hippies Towing Service to clean up the collision.

     Ralston was cited at the hospital for failure of owner to maintain required insurance and prescription controlled substance not in the proper container. The collision investigation is complete and further charges are pending at this time.
