Subject:

Single vehicle injury accident on Mayfield Rd.

Date:

May 26th, 2010

At 7:04 AM Deputies were dispatched to the 6100 block of Old Mayfield road for a injury accident.  Upon our arrival we found that a 2006 Ford Van, owned by CMI heating and air out of Paducah, was upside down in a yard.

The van had been driven by 49 year old Timothy Goff of Boaz. Goff had been North bound on Old Mayfield road when he dropped off the right shoulder of the road in a left hand curve. The van crossed a driveway and became air born for a short distance. The vehicle landed in the yard, struck a tree which threw the vehicle out of control.

The van flipped over into another yard barely missing a home as it came to rest upside down.  Goff was still trapped inside the vehicle. He was mechanically extricated by the Hendron Fire Department. He was then transported to Western Baptist E.R. by Mercy Regional Ambulance for his injuries.
