Two Paducah men arrested on Felony charges involving marijuana. |

On June 02, 2010, Deputies were dispatched to the back parking lot of Southern Baptist Temple located at 927 Yarbro Lane for a suspicious vehicle that was occupied by two males for approximately 45 minutes.
Upon our arrival on scene, deputies found a Mr. Andrew P. Farmer, 25 years old of Paducah, inside of his vehicle and a Mr. Chad E. Oliver, 34 years old also of Paducah, located at the rear of the passenger side of the vehicle. Deputies conducted an investigation of the incident which reviled alcohol and a quantity of marijuana hidden in several locations inside of the vehicle.
Deputies investigation into the incident also reveled that both subjects had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana while parked in the church parking lot. Another bag of marijuana was found behind the vehicle by the churches playground area. It was found that as deputies arrived on scene, Mr. Oliver had thrown the bag of marijuana while he was at the rear of the vehicle in an attempt to destroy and /or conceal evidence of their illegal activity. Both subjects were placed under arrest on various charges and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
The McCracken County Sheriffs Department was assisted on scene by the Kentucky State Police.
Mr. Farmer's charges are as follows: 1- Alcohol intoxication in a public place, 1st offense 2- Possession of marijuana 3- Drug paraphernalia law, buy / posses 2nd offence ( Felony ) 4- Possession of open alcohol beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited
Mr. Oliver's charges are as follows: 1- Alcohol intoxication in a public place, 1st offense 2- Possession of marijuana 3- Tampering with physical evidence ( Felony )
