On June 6, 2010 at approximately 8:30 P.M. the McCracken County Sheriffs Department investigated an accident at the intersection of US 62/Blandville Road and Mayfield Metropolis Road. A 2005 Nissan Maxima driven by Elizabeth J. Brown 16 of Paducah was making a left turn onto Blandville Road when she pulled into the path of a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6RR motorcycle driven by Conrad S. Spresser 19 of Kevil. Mr. Spresser was transported to Lourdes Hospital by Mercy Regional for treatment of his injuries. Mr. Spresser was wearing a helmet. Concord Fire also responded the to accident scene to assist.
