Subject:

SUV Rolls Multilpe Times on Lovelaceville Road

Date:

June 15, 2010

At approximately 12:30 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an injury accident in the 4900 block of Lovelaceville Road.  A witness reported that the vehicle had flipped multiple times and was resting upside down in a ditch.  The driver and sole occupant, 44 year old Jillianne Snyder, of Paducah, was entrapped and had to be extricated by the Lone Oak Fire Department.  Mercy Regional EMS treated and transported Mrs. Snyder to Lourdes Hospital for apparent minor injuries.

According to Mrs. Snyder and based upon evidence at the scene, the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee was eastbound on Lovelaceville Road prior to the accident when it dropped off the right side of the roadway.  The SUV dropped into a deep ditch, became sideways and then began to roll multiple times.  It rolled across a concrete bridge and then dropped into the bottom of a deep creek.  Mrs. Snyder told the investigating Deputy, Malcolm that her tire felt as though it went flat and that her vehicle was pulled into the ditch.  Lovelaceville Road was closed in both directions for approximately 35 minutes while crews worked to free Mrs. Snyder from her vehicle.
