Two Arrested Following Cocaine Investigation

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department arrested two Paducah men charging them with conspiracy to traffic in Cocaine following a lengthy investigation on      07-08-2010.
 
Detectives with the McCracken County County Sheriff's Department Drug Division received information that Everardo Aragon and Anibal Galban had been involved in buying and distributing large quantities of Cocaine throughout Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois. As part of the on going investigation sheriff's detectives developed a covert plan, consisting of undercover detectives making contact with the suspects through use of a confidential source, alleging to sell them a large quantity of Cocaine. A meeting was planned along with a price for the suspects to purchase an approximate 1/4 of a kilo of powder cocaine, having a street value of over $20,000.00. On 07-08-2010 Aragon and Galban did arrive at the agreed location in the 4300 block of Cairo Road in McCracken County and took possession of a quantity of cocaine when they were apprehended by detectives at approximately  4:35 pm.  
 
Detectives seized $5,560 in US currency from the men and a Nissan Altima passenger car that had been used by the men to transport cocaine on numerous occasions. Both men were a arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail in Paducah. 
 
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division was assisted by detectives with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department in this investigation.
 
 
 
 
Arrested: Anibal C. Galban 29, of North Friendship Road in Paducah
 
Charges: Conspiracy to traffic in Cocaine (a class "C" felony punishable by 5-10 years in prison)
 
 
Arrested: Everardo Aragon 27, of North Friendship Road in Paducah
 
Charges: Conspiracy to traffic in Cocaine (a class "C" felony punishable by 5-10 years in prison)
