Paducah Man Arrested For Prescription Drug Trafficking

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department arrested a Paducah man on 07-15-2010 charging him with one count of trafficking in a 1st degree controlled substance-Morphine.
 
On 07-14-2010 detectives with the McCracken County County Sheriff's Department Drug Division received a complaint that Leonard G. Gomillia 49, of Martin Luther King Drive was selling his prescription medication for profit. 
 
On 07-15-2010 detectives conducted an investigation that involved using a confidential source to purchase a quantity of Morphine from Gomillia. At approximately 1:38 pm Gomillia was arrested after he sold ten doses of 30 milligram Morphine Sulfate to the confidential source near the intersection of South 8th and Husbands Street. Detectives seized currency from Gomillia believed to be proceeds from his illegal drug sales and additional doses of Morphine. Gomillia was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Jail.
 
Gomillia has a lengthy criminal history involving drugs and was currently under indictment at the time of his arrest from a 2009 Graves County case were he was alleged to have also trafficked in a 1st degree controlled substance.
 
Arrested: Leonard G. Gomillia 49, of Martin Luther King Drive in Paducah
 
Charges: Trafficking in a 1st degree controlled substance- Morphine (A class "C" felony punishable by 5-10 in prison)
