| The McCracken County Sheriff's Dept. responded to a single vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Cold Springs Road and Ogden landing around 17:20 pm. The driver 18 year old Norman Andrews of West Paducah said he was traveling westbound on Ogden Landing in his 2000 Chevy Cavalier when a passenger car pulled from the intersection into his path. He was able to swerve and avoid the collision but instead ran off the left shoulder over corrected and then ran off the right shoulder. The vehicle traveled a short distance on the shoulder before hitting a rock cut ditch and this caused the vehicle to overturn, the vehicle ended up on its roof. Mr. Andrews was wearing a seatbelt and was able to crawl out of the vehicle under his own power he reported only minor cuts and abrasions and refused treatment and transport. The sheriff's department was assisted by the Concord Fire Department and Mercy Regional EMS.. Traffic was slowed for approximately 45 mins while a wrecker worked to remove the vehicle. | |||||
