Drive-By Shooting Suspects Charged

 

 

August 9th, 2010

 

 

 On 07/29/10, at approximately 8:59 p.m., the McCracken County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call from Angela Wilson, advising that someone shot several rounds from a firearm, into the apartment she was visiting, at 3120 Key Drive.  Also inside the apartment was Johnny Adams and a 10 month old infant.

 

The residents of the apartment, Joshua Luna and Savanah Luna were not home at the time of the shooting.

 

Deputies were able to locate a vehicle matching the witness description, along with two individuals who were persons of interest.

 

On this date (08/09/10), the two persons of interest, Nicholas McLeod,19, and Dillon Smith,18, have since been charged with one (1) count of Attempted Murder and three (3) counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.

 

The shooting was believed to be a result of a verbal altercation that took place earlier the night of the shooting, between the believed target, Joshua Luna and the two suspects.

 

Both suspects were lodged in the McCracken Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.

 

 

Suspect: Nicholas S. McLeod, 19, Oaks Road, Paducah, Ky.

Charges: 1) Attempted Murder

                   2) Three (3) Counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree

 

Suspect: Dillon H. Smith, 18, Strawberry Lane, Metropolis, Il.

Charges: 1) Attempted Murder

                   2) Three (3) Counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
