Injury accident on Old Mayfield Road

      On August 10, 2010 at approximately 0052hrs, the McCracken County Sheriffs Office responded to an injury accident in the 6200 block of Old Mayfield Road.

    Upon Deputies arrival, it was found that 50 year old Mr. Scott W. Lane, of Paducah, was traveling southbound on Old Mayfield Road in his 1998 Silver Ford Escort, when he passed a driveway that he was intending to turn into. Mr. Lane then attempted to slow down to turn into the driveway when his vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole and overturning.

    Mr. Lane was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries by Mercy Regional EMS. Traffic was restricted to one lane for approximately 45 minutes to complete the investigation.   

     The Sheriffs Office was assisted at the scene by Mercy Regional EMS and the Reidland Farley Fire Department.
