Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Dept Drug Division arrested three Paducah residents in connection with meth trafficking and other drug related offenses following an undercover operation.
On August 11, 2010 an investigation was conducted after receiving allegations that Larry Morrison was involved in trafficking in methamphetamine. A confidential source was utilized to make contact with Morrison. An agreement was reached with Morrison via telephone in which he agreed to supply one half gram of methamphetamine in return for a quantity of Sudafed pills to an undercover narcotics detective with the McCracken County Sheriff's Dept posing as a Sudafed pill supplier.
At approximately 1421 hours on the same date, Morrison and another individual, who was identified as Shon Williams, met with the undercover narcotics detective and the confidential source on a parking lot in the Lone Oak Rd area. At that time, Williams sold a quantity of methamphetamine to the undercover detective and received several doses of Sudafed pills in exchange for the meth. Williams and Morrison were arrested after the transaction had taken place. A search of Morrison's person revealed approximately two grams of methamphetamine on his person. It was later determined that the meth that was sold to the undercover detective was supplied to Williams by Morrison. Both subjects have prior convictions for trafficking in controlled substances.
At approx. 1749 hours on the same date, a search warrant was executed at 450 College Ave Apt F, Larry Morrison's residence. A search of the residence revealed a quantity of methamphetamine, a quantity of marijuana, doses of Ecstasy, doses of Klonopin, and other drug related materials. Lena A. Morrison, Larry Morrison's wife, was present at the time the search warrant was executed. It was determined that Lena had purchased Sudafed pills for her husband, Larry two days prior at a local pharmacy. More charges are likely in connection with this case.
Detectives were assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff's Dept and the McCracken County Jail.
All three individuals were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
