Vehicle Collision with Injuries

At approximately 1405 hours this date, in the 9700 block of U S Highway 62 a White Ford pickup truck towing a utility trailer loaded with plywood driven by an unknown driver lost a sheet of plywood as it was West bound.  The plywood flew out of the back of the utility trailer and struck an oncoming passenger car driving East bound.  The driver of the East bound passenger car was 62 year old Dennis Rose of Boaz, Kentucky.  Mr. Rose drove off the roadway after his vehicle was struck by the plywood and struck a driveway culvert.  The driver of the White Ford pickup with trailer continued West bound and did not stop for the collision.  Mr. Rose was transported to Lourdes Hospital by Mercy EMS for treatment of chest pain.  Members of the Concord Fire Department and Mercy EMS assisted at the collision scene.
