The McCracken County Sheriff's Department Drug Division has arrested three Paducah Men on various drug offenses over the past two days.

On 09-01-2010 at approximately 6:16 pm detectives with the drug division observed the operator of a 1994 Dodge Intrepid driving carelessly on Benton Road. The vehicle then pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway in the 4600 block of Benton Road in McCracken County. Detectives stopped and spoke to the two men in the vehicle. The driver was identified as 28 year old Vincent McNeal. Detectives identified the front seat passenger as 32 year old Joshua Luten. While speaking to the two men, a detective observed Luten attempt to hide something in vehicle. Both men were asked to exit the vehicle. Detectives searched Luten and located a plastic baggy missing corners in his pants pocket along with several hundred dollars in US currency. Detectives searched McNeal and located two plastic baggies containing crack cocaine valued at $400 and several hundred dollars in US currency believed to be proceeds of drug sells.

Deputy Steve Croft and his K-9 "Pepo" arrived on scene a short time later and assisted in the vehicle search. K-9 "Pepo" alerted to a narcotic odor coming from the passenger side of the vehicle. K-9 Pepo then alerted on a black bag that was located under the edge of the passenger seat that contained two baggies of marijuana packaged for sale, digital scales and plastic baggies. Both men were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

A subsequent investigation revealed that McNeal and Luten were both on federal probation for drug offenses. McNeal had just been released prison in May of 2010 and had started selling cocaine to 20-30 different individuals approximately 1-2 months ago.
