On January 14, 2012 at approximately 0202hrs, the McCracken County Sheriffs Department received a call for a rollover injury accident in the 4400 block of Old US Highway 45.

    Upon arrival, deputies found that Mr. Dakota A. Rounds, 17 years old of Paducah, was operating a red 1989 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Old US Highway 45, along with his passenger, Mr. Jamie H. Green, 16 years old also from Paducah. Mr. Rounds, for unknown reasons left the roadway on the west side then overcorrected and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle then left the roadway on the east side, striking a ditch and eventually turning over onto the drivers side after striking several hills.

    Both occupants were treated on scene and  transported to Lourdes hospital for incapacitating injuries by Mercy Regional EMS. The roadway was closed for approximately 1 hour for the investigation and the cleanup of the collision.

     The McCracken County Sheriffs Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS and the Lone Oak Fire Department.
