At around 16:30 this afternoon Deputies, Fire, and Mercy Ambulance responded to a two vehicle accident on Old Mayfield RD.

 

George Tyra age 58 of Paducah KY was traveling south on Old Mayfield RD in a tan Ford Taurus when he rear ended a Ford F-150. Phillip Dickey driving a white Ford F-150 was slowing to make a right turn onto Bleach from Old Mayfield RD. While investigating the collisions Tyra was found to be under the influence of drugs. Tyra and his four year old passenger were transported to Lourdes Hospital for neck pain. Dickey was also transported to Lourdes Hospital for neck pain. After being medically cleared Tyra was arrested for DUI and lodged in the McCracken county Jail.
